Mr Manish Mohandas – Founder of Prasamviidah is a Civil Engineer from Mumbai University (India) with a Post Graduation in Advanced Construction Management from NICMAR University, Pune.
He had the opportunity to work in the various functions of construction management, commercial management and procurement for projects ranging from plotted developments, affordable housing, villas and high rise buildings from commencement to completion and handover for Construction Projects in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and more recently in Maldives and Colombo. This has been enhanced over the years during his association with a range of companies such as Hindustan Construction Company (HCC India), ETA ASCON (UAE), ALDAR Laing O’Rourke(UAE), Rustomjee Group in Mumbai, Tata Housing (Mumbai, Bangalore, Colombo and Maldives) and more recently with Karle Group in Bangalore.
Apart from the core responsibilities, he has lead and worked on Contracts which have used FIDIC 1999 (Red Book), FIDIC 2006 (White book), NEC Contracts, ICTAD forms of Contract in Sri Lanka and various forms of bespoke contracts in India and Internationally
He has also been associated with Project Management Institute, USA, (PMI) since August 2019.
Based on his interactions with multiple vendors, suppliers, contractors, consultants, he felt that business relationships can be improved between transacting organizations if the contractual documentations are managed correctly. This is where he believed that there is an area of technical contractual documentation that he can support in order to improve the business relations between the transacting organizations especially young entrepreneurs and small organizations. The Indian Government is also taking all necessary steps to improve the ease of doing business in India and improving the business relationships just helps the cause. While large organizations have their own inhouse teams of experts to carry out such functions, we wish to be of assistance (currently on a pro bono basis) to the smaller organizations and young entrepreneurs.
